How young engineers learn with ease

For quite a few engineers, their professional careers can probably be traced back to their childhood involvement with technology construction sets. And they too are moving with the times: fischertechnik is now launching the Smart Robots Pro complete beginner's package, with which young engineers aged eight and over can learn how to program and control in a fun way.

The fischertechnik construction kits "Made in Germany" have been inspiring children, pupils, teachers and engineers alike since 1965 and at the same time teach basic technical understanding in a playful way according to the motto "Understanding technology through play". The current fischertechnik construction sets are graded according to age recommendations and are therefore individually tailored to the skills of the builders. The fun of playing and creating starts at the age of five. The latest product from Waldachtal in the northern Black Forest is aimed at young constructors aged eight and over.

The complete beginner's package Smart Robots Pro is part of fischertechnik's eLearning division. With the help of the included sensors and actuators, young developers can assemble twelve models that can be programmed and controlled. Whether with the driving robot with obstacle detection, the carousel with flashing lights, the temperature control with fan or the alarm system: the entry into the world of programming should be fun and, according to the manufacturer, guaranteed. Control via the BT Smart Controller - with four inputs for digital and analog sensors and two outputs for motors or lamps - has a USB and Bluetooth 4.1 LE interface. The ROBO Pro Coding software enables fast, clear and easy-to-understand programming of the models. The didactic accompanying material, which is available on the fischrtechnik eLearning portal, supports the children's learning process and explains the programming in an easy-to-understand way.
