5th Additive Manufacturing Forum Berlin 2021

• New date for 5th AM Forum Berlin 2021

• Postponed until summer: July 21 – 22, 2021
• Agenda is focusing on cross-industry user reports
• First-class speaker line-up
• Over 75% of the previous year's exhibition space already booked

The 5th edition of the Additive Manufacturing Forum has been moved from March to summer and will now take place on July 21 - 22, 2021. This is the organizer's response to the ongoing corona pandemic and current developments. The new date considers the AM community's strong interest to meet face-to-face and discuss the technology’s advancements. The hybrid concept allows virtual participation as well.

Leading solution providers and experts will share knowledge and will discuss ideas to accelerate the application of AM. The experiences from the pandemic will have a major impact on the presentations. The 2021 conference program is once again characterized by a high level of practical relevance, inspirational learning opportunities and cross-industry experience sharing. This is also guaranteed by the supporting foundation partners Airbus, BASF, Deutsche Bahn, Stratasys, 3YOURMIND, and Mobility goes Additive. The contributions address all aspects of the additive value chain and focus on these four topics: design and simulation, new materials, series production and automation, postprocessing and quality.

Highlights include keynotes from:
• Christoph Hüls, Founder Additive Manufacturing of Tablets, Merck KGaA
"Business Case for 3D printed tablets - The digitalization of pill production"
• Frank Ickinger, Advanced Engineering Powertrain, Porsche AG & Volker Schall, Head of Product Design, Corporate Advanced Engineering Thermal Management, MAHLE International GmbH
"Additive manufacturing of highly stressed drive components"
• Marie Langer, CEO, EOS GmbH
"3D printing and climate change - Bringing the sustainable component of AM into the spotlight"
• Andreas Langfeld, President EMEA, Stratasys
"The State of the Industry: AM in a post pandemic world”
• Daniel Metz, Global Engineering Operations Manager, John Deere GmbH & Co. KG
"The printed tractor – Our way to industrialized 3D printing”
• Thorsten Schollenberger, VP Quality & Industrial Engineering, GROHE AG
"Practical experience: Brand quality with 3D printed small series""
• Christoph Wangenheim, Head of Additive Manufacturing, Baker Hughes
"Innovative materials for extreme requirements: Rocket science under the earth"

For the first time, a science symposium for deep scientific insights organized by the DMRC is on the agenda. The contributions will share the latest developments and innovations and they will show what today’s 3D printing research has in store for tomorrow’s industrialization.

The common goal of all participants is to learn from each other across all industries in the use of the additive technologies, to inspire each other and to promote series application. The event offers numerous opportunities for value-added exchange with the experts.

In the exhibition, leading AM software, material, technology, and service providers will present hands-on solutions and strategies for successful use of additive technologies. Over 75% of the previous year's exhibition space has already been booked. Participants are invited to bring their specific questions on 3D printing along. The forum is aimed at beginners, advanced users, and professionals from the industries aerospace, automotive, railway, mechanical engineering, construction and agriculture, medical technology, and sciences.

The association Mobility goes Additive e.V. and IPM AG invite women to the 4th European Summit for Women in AM, taking place on the day before the event. The aim is to support and accelerate the networking of women in specialist and management positions in the additive world and to initiate new potentials for the future of additive manufacturing.
